Agree. We had rabbit in our paella when in Spain and told it is the original meat for the dish.

The fiance handed out a head shot the other day.

We heard it back in the timber for probably close to 30 minutes. It never made a vocal sound just rustling leaves, and sometimes a stick breaking. She watched intently with her binoculars for a glimpse of it through the underbrush. She had decided it was an armadillo after several minutes. We had previously talked about shooting on the 3 in a 3 count if the pigs came out. She would shoot a big one on the right and I would shoot one on the left. If only one came out we would both shoot the same one. I focused elsewhere after several minutes of waiting for it to come out and apparently she did to because the boar surprised us and was about 25 yards out of the timber and closing the 125 yard distance separating us. When we were both ready, I started the count down. Only I didn't shoot, so she could take 100% of the pride in dropping him with the AR 15 she built. It is chambered in 6.8 spc.

Fresh rabbit is better than squirrel for sure. My mom and my grand ma on that side could make a mean GOOD meal for us if my brother and I furnished the rabbits
