but my 17hm2 lothar walther barrel is throwing some weird strings. Zeroed at 50, went out to 100, couldn’t get things to cooperate, came back to 50, and my POI was all over the place and stringing out like seen in the middle of the target. Head space is very loose compared to the match 22 barrel/chamber. Any ideas?

Anarchy Outdoors bottom metal came in today. It’s sturdy, thicker than the original, and one rather than two pieces. Fits like OEM. I like it. The trigger guard isn’t as traditionally styled as the original, I’m on the fence about it. But it should perform!
Love your new rig! I have a friend that has a455 in 17hmr and it shoots lights out. I see a 457 varmint in 17 hmr in my future!

How did I miss this thread before? Nice rig. I’ve got a 457 in stainless and a Boyd’s At1 stock. It has a vortex crossfire on it. My brother picked up a 17HMR barrel at Second Hand Rose pawn in Tulsa. They used to be a CZ dealer but lost it I guess. Anyway, got the barrel and mag brand new for $120 OTD.
I’ve had it for over a year and am just now getting around to putting it on paper.
I think I’ll order that bolt handle and maybe the bottom metal. The plastic spacers needed for the barrel swap are a little cheesy but they get the job done. The metal looks like a sound upgrade.

I actually found the Area 419 bolt handle on eBay right after making the above post. Came from Precision Shooting Supply out of Missouri and I already received it. They had some other CZ, tikka, bargera stuff listed. So, if you find yourself in need, I’d order from them again.
Beautiful rig haven’t ventured into the cz switch barrels as of yet
