i just looked at mine and the trigger and safety are metal. i do remember that the safety was plastic on the first one i had. it was a fantastic shooter. the one i have now is good but not as good as the last one.

my pin comes out very easily.

I have one that I paid $110 or so for about 6 or 7 years ago. It has been a great gun. If you see them going on sale at Academy for around $100, please let me know.

If I still had all the boys to teach again... I'd probably drop a few bucks into a Rough Rider.... we about wore out an old German Hawes 22 SA and a Single Six. The cheap pistols kept a lot of miles off my SW 17 and 18.
