I've been wanting to get out and bust a hog as well. Heard deepfork was decent.

I am wanting to do some hog slaying of my own. I have thought about running out to Canton and Eufaula both but was thinking of waiting until late September early October. Thougths? Does it really matter? Plan to use my .270 win im not quite convinced that my AR has enough bite. Am I good?

.270 WIN will put em down plenty, but so will the AR.

Yep AR will do the trick. Prob be getting crowded on public land with dove season opening Saturday.
