Congress has been all over these scandals, but if a congressional investigation takes place and a majority of the media refuses to cover it, does it make a sound?

Simply put, Eric Holder does not respect the rule of law, states rights or the U.S. Constitution. He is wholly unfit for the office he holds. The speeches he's been making the past few days are reprehensible. I don't understand why Congress isn't all over him like a cheap suit right now. :(

Who in Congress would do that? The parties are so divided right now that if AG Holder called for Congress to be abolished the Senate Majority and House Minority would sooner support him than side with "the other guys" in their respective chambers.

BTW - why is SYG such an issue in regards to the Zimmerman-Martin case anyway? SYG was not used as a defense and played no role, other than a theoretical one, in this case. Is the AG implying that SYG is why Zimmerman was released? If so, that is demonstrably false.

His discussion of the age-old duty to retreat is nonsense. People may retreat when they feel overmatched or feel it would be expedient but natural law - which precedes and frankly supercedes positive law - allows any person to defend him or herself. Why would anyone want to pass a law that attempts to restrict the rights of a person who is, lawfully, exercising his right to be wherever he wishes to be from defending himself?

It doesn't have to be true to be a diversion. He can't go after Zimmerman and he knows it, and he's unwilling to take the heat for doing the right thing, so he has to deflect the "wrath" somewhere else. Where better to direct it than at something he doesn't like?
