I don't like glocks, springfields, new S&W autos, etc.

Give me Colts, Walthers, high end HKs, Brownings, etc.

What?? No Sig???

Yep, a Timex keeps just as good time as a Rolex, but which would you rather have?

Agree to disagree. As someone who hacks a watch to the Naval Observatory master clock every week, I can honestly say that no cheap Timex keeps good time.

A gun snob is a snob that's into guns.

A "gun snob" will most likely be a snob in all aspects of life. I know people that purchase really expensive firearms that aren't snobs, some Colt guys are in fact snobs but liking Colts isn't what makes them a snob, it's their attitude.

Guys that have to buy and brag about the highest dollar version of whatever weapon type or model. Not the collector that pays a premium for a historical piece, but the guy that will "Only buy" brand XX $2K+ AR (Or shottie, pistol, revolver, scope, whatever..) for home photo ops, occasional range use and HD, and then label anything besides whatever they own as inferior/ junk/ unreliable..

And guys that won't buy ammo at WM, the new retail leader in in low price ammo.

In edit- XD-9Guy hit it on the head.

I really can't stand the guys who talk about their guns but don't shoot any. And I'm not taking about true collectors. I'm just talking about people who buy modern mass produced guns but then couldn't shoot their way out of a paper box. I was having dinner with a group of guys and one dude kept bragging about his guns, "oh yeah I really like the SCAR's. I have a lot of them. I don't even know how many I have. I was buying them back when they were really hard to get and I'd buy every one that Sportsworld got in. They wouldn't sell them to anyone but I was such a good customer. I spent so much money in there. Blah, blah, blah." Then we hit the range the next week and the dude was an idiot. Muzzle swept me twice.

I will say it since no one else has.

"JB BOOKS" Just joking kind of......

There is nothing wrong with good taste but I define a snob as someone who puts your stuff down because it doesn't have a buckmark on it, or wasn't made in Germany. No matter what will always be better. I like all kinds of guns no matter who manufactured them. They are a lot like boobies. Its hard to knock something just because its not as good as the expensive ones. They still serve the purpose. As long as a gun is reliable and hits the target, they are a keeper in my book.
