Really ALL depends on EXACTLY what we are discussing. Am a bit older now and as such, some things have slowed down just a fraction and yet, other things are slightly faster than they used be. I'm thinking it's a dual sword of practice / experience vs. old age. The one constant is my accuracy in hitting the target. And as stated in another thread, it's not the caliber or the speed, but hitting the spot or accuracy that counts.
I've never tried to quick draw and shoot in my life, I'd probably shoot everywhere but the center of the target. I was a good instinctive shooter at one time but no doubt those skills are close to non-existent.
I used to rent a house to a young captain at Fort Sill. (I was a Medicine Park slumlord). One day while he was washing his car, I noticed that he was missing the second toe on his right foot.
