wondering if it's good, bad or a ripoff?
My wife is the computer expert in the house and she tried Nord for a time, but quit because it kept blocking her from sites that she absolutely needed to access. She has come to think that getting security through routers and such instead of using a VPN is better.

I use the NordVPN on my computer and phones. It occasionally blocks access but is quickly ‘paused’ for a few minutes. Gives me a little more peace of mind when traveling down this dangerous highway called the internet.
I've played around with a couple and my experience is like TerryMiller's, they get blocked by places I want to get to like even email. They're a great idea if you're on a public wifi network, but for me, at home, they've been more trouble than they're probably worth. YMMV.
I use Proton VPN on my smartphone when I'm out of the house. It lets me avoid the dastardly people out there as well as the nannies who won't let me surf "disfavored" websites like... OSA!

I've used NordVPN with decent results. I watched some TV shows that were only available in New Zealand without any issues. Obituary is pretty good and I guess is or will be available in the US on Hulu.
I use discretion, common sense, and the delete option as necessary. It's been working for me since about 1997.
