Yeah I enjoy the looks side of firearms. I’ve purchased guns before where the ascetics was a big factor in the decision

Although interesting enough i often end up selling those guns. They typically become safe queens and I sell them after awhile when I’m ready to scratch a new itch

For functional actual use guns I see as tools I’m good with Glocks, savage axis deer gun, maverick88 knock around shotty, etc cheap ugly and functional

It's about function and accuracy for me.
I care nothing about looks or nostalgia.
That's why you like Hi Points?

The phrase "life's too short to own ugly guns" comes to mind. I have drifted towards the older stuff very much so in the last 5-7 years, revolvers/levers/etc. At this point, I'm mainly into guns that are good deals! Just over 2 years ago, I owned two 22 LR handguns and three 22 rifles. Now I'm up to 5 long guns and 8 handguns, all due to "good deals", just as an example. While I like wood/steel in my handguns and levers, I don't even look at wood stock hunting rifles really. So we all have our idiosynchrosies I guess...as long as someone's PRO GUN, I don't care what they shoot!

You know, pretty and functional aren’t mutually exclusive. This is a Thieme und Schlegelmilch German combination gun manufactured in 1891 as per the proof marks. Chambered in 16 gauge / 8x72r SS, single set trigger and shoots sub MOA groups at 100 yards even with my old eyes. Beautiful and lethal…….just like my wife. 😉
