Seriously, if hair is the worst problem you got, you better thank God.
A dear and wise woman I know, allowed her son to grow a huge fro, and dye it with kool-aid. In her words "If that is how he wants to rebel, I am thankful." These days he's a responsible member of society, a father, husband, and worship leader in church.
No offense but he's your nephew not your son, it's his parents business not yours. (That comes off as harsh but not how I mean it)
That being said when I was in school it was all the jocks and cowboys who had long hair and mohawks. Hair doesn't define people, their actions do. Give the kid a break, as long as he's not stealing or setting fires he's good.

Back on Monday, I was with my 13 year old daughter D.J. at a week long camp here at the college called Gear Up. Gear Up is for 8th graders. It just kinda gives them an idea of what college life is gonna be like for them later on down the road.
Anyway, we are standing around this cluster
waiting to get checked in. Being the good cop that I am, I am looking people over...workers, counselors, dads, kids, MILFs and so on and so forth.
While I'm looking at these kids I notice how absolutely goofy the boys (and some girls) look. What with their hats on sideways and their butts hanging out of their pants, their mis-matched socks and what-not, so I turn to D.J. and say, "I'm sure glad God made me a man, because if this is all I had to choose from as a young lady, I think I'd go lesbo or something."

Just wondering how the kid is doing?
I have had two of my boys want mohawks... And I gave them both one.. Years apart... My oldest wore his less than 4 days.. The other son less than two.. And that was the last time they requested any freaky hair cut..
