HSM 7.62x51mm 175 Grain SMK HPBT- M118LR

Does anyone have any experience with this ammo? I am wanting to see if it will work for match ammo in my Remington 700, and wanted to get some thoughts before I ordered.

Looks to be a duplicate attempt at the Lake City 7.62 x 51 that is issued to the Military Sniper Units.

The LR is a Long Range designator.

My understanding it that it is the only non-ball ammo in the inventory.

The military stuff is supposed to be match grade. Don't know about this stuff.

I was looking to get some input on this specific round from HSM. I usually shoot Federal Gold Medal Match 168 and 175 grain SMK, but that stuff is like Hen's Teeth right now, and too expensive for me when I do find it.

I ordered a box each of HSM 175 grain 118LR and the 168 SMK BTHP, and I'll test them out next time I head out to Harry's.

I went shooting this weekend, all ready to go out and test this stuff.....

And left my ammo box of Match 308 at home.
