What nectar ration are you using?

Mine are tearing up 3 to 1 water/sugar mix.

Best-1 Nectar. It works great every year, but have not seen anything yet.

Not yet. I put a feeder out a few days ago, and it is down a little, but haven't actually seen one.

What's preferred to lure them in? I just put a bird feeder pole in my yard and thought about a humming bird feeder in it too

Just a simple feeder with nectar.

I don't use colored dye and make a simple 3 to 1 mix of water/sugar. When the temps climb to consistent 90's I switch to 4 to 1.

Well, yesterday afternoon I was standing on the patio within 3-4 feet of my feeder. A little ruby-throated (actually purple-throated) rascal flew right up to within a foot of my face. He just hung there humming for about 10 seconds, or so. Then he went to the feeder and made himself at home.

His little butt is gonna get cold next Monday or Tuesday night.
