I was going to get a Wicked Ridge but they were out. Then I learned that the Wicked Ridge riser is plastic.

So I bought a Horton Team Realtree Ultra Lite. It has an aluminum riser.

I'll get it sighted in next week and then off to Seminole to try my luck.

Had a horton few years back. I thought it would be easy to hunt with, kinda like a rifle. It wasn't, traded off for a rifle, lesson learned.

yeah, they are a little bulky to sit with. a double tree stand with the shooting rail down is ok, but a single without a bow hook or something to hang it on can be a PITA. i fabbed up a small rest that is bolted to the side of my favorite bow stand. wrapped it in pipe insulation so its nice and quiet

I only hunt ground stand style. But in thick cover I can see how it might be a problem.

My last day out during rifle season I got the rifle buttstock tangled in thorns. Maybe it was too thick a cover.
