My step-father has been getting heavily in to leather work in his retirement. He surprised me today with an early birthday gift. My family has never been big on gift giving, so this really took me by surprise.

It's an incredibly nice bag, which I will make great use of. As luck would have it, my regular bag I carry my laptop, and a few other things in that I use whenever I'm on the road for work has been in service for over 10 years and is on it's last leg. This is all hand-stitched. I'm betting that in 10 years this bag will just be getting good and worn in.
it would come in handy to you and a very artistic design too I like it

SWEEEEET! I bet he could make some awesome holsters! My buddy has a friend that does leather work and he made him a custom shoulder rig. The leather is about a 1/4" thick. Store bought rigs look like toys by comparison.
Speaking of holster, does anyone remember the old bucket style law enforcement holsters? I have a couple in need of repair. I believe Charlie Grant (possibly) made my most favorite. These were the preferred holsters for OHP troopers back in the 70’s. Does anyone know someone who can maybe restore mine?
