Love shooting 'em.
Hate cleaning 'em.
Put on some good music , pour a couple fingers of your favorite spirit or milk if you are one of them quitter critters, break out the cleaning kit and suck it up buttercup , that iron needs cleaned properly for all the joy it brings to your life.....

Kinda hard for me not to take 100 rounds of 45ACP and a 5" 1911 when I head to the range but I will grab a revolver now and then.

I picked up a really nice low mileage 1989 mfg. stainless 7.5" Ruger Redhawk in .44 Mag last May and shot it quite a bit last summer playing around with different powders.......it's probably about time I took it to the range and again to blow the cobwebs out of the barrel. :)

It now wears non finger groove Pachmayr Presentation grips.

There are other handguns besides revolvers??

+1 kagillion on the K frame 327. A model 10 in 327 would be sweet!
I prefer fixed sights but wouldn’t thumb my nose at a Model 16. Or even better, the gun S&W should have made, a stainless Model 16 a “616”.

Had a lot of fun with this one today. Came in this morning and I changed out the grips, wiped it down and shot two boxes thru it. Trigger is heavy like most rimfires but very smooth. My headshot distance was 8 yards today. I'm sure I can stretch that to double that as I become accustomed to the trigger. One box was 40 gr Gold Dot short barrel personal protection and was more accurate than Maxi Mags. 20230406_170730.jpg

I only have one Model 10 and it’s certainly a keeper. Bought it from a local smith that parkerized it and gave it a sweeeeeet trigger job. One fun gun to shoot to be sure. Added appeal is that my father carried a Model 10 (could have been a 15) while in the Air Wing of the USMC 1964-67.
