HP vs weight ratio has a lot to do with the performance of today's vehicles.Crazy to think you can buy a factory street legal car from Dodge now that runs faster. Not by much...and in perfect conditions...but it still did it.

pffft, my truck will to the 1/4 mile in... well it will do the 1/4.Bingo!!!! Steve Lisk's 1971 Dodge Challenger with a Pro Stock Hemi with twin Holley Dominators and a four speed Lenco transmission straight out of Mike Fon's Pro Stock Mopar. Quite possibly the first street car to run in the nine second range (9.70 in the quarter mile).
It's a Donk?yes, the wheels ruined for me too....
Can't image people do that to their vehicles, especially on a beautiful classic like thatyes, the wheels ruined for me too....
True, but that Challenger was the baddest car in the land back in 1979. And you couldn't just go in and buy it....Crazy to think you can buy a factory street legal car from Dodge now that runs faster. Not by much...and in perfect conditions...but it still did it.
No kidding, but I'd take quirky, at least I could work on pre-1990 vehicles... hahaOh I know, I'm just saying its crazy how far technology has gotten us. Cars nowadays with gobs of power drive like a regular car...they dont have all the weird "quirks" of driving that the older ones did. Its just neat I think.
Meh. It's all about matching the tool to the job.pffft, my truck will to the 1/4 mile in... well it will do the 1/4.
