U.S. District Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman, appointed by Barack Obama, ruled that an illegal immigrant has the right to bear arms under the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

This ruling came about in the case of Heriberto Carbajal-Flores, who faced charges under 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(5), a federal statute that prohibits noncitizens without legal status in the U.S. from “possess[ing] in or affecting commerce, any firearm or ammunition; or to receive any firearm or ammunition which has been shipped or transported in interstate or foreign commerce.”

Carbajal-FloIres, who has been living in the United States illegally, was charged after he was found to be carrying a gun in Chicago during the civil unrest in the spring of 2020.

And Yes, the equal protections of US Constitution do apply to people living in the US, including those here illegally.

In this case the argument could be made that the protections extended to illegal aliens makes them "more equal" than citizens.

Someone should EDUCATE that obammy MUPPET about WHO deserves the second Amendment benefits.

For starters, nowhere in the constitution or bill of rights does it say anything about having a criminal record barring someone from being able to own or carry firearms. Secondly, the 2A does NOT give us the right to keep and bear arms. It serves as a directive to our government to not mess with that right. Yet look how much it’s been infringed upon. I wonder why?? Finally, the 2A gives us the ability to stop tyranny. Yet, look how much we have allowed.
