To add … the “story” of WM using “sand” in their salt has been around for sometime. I doubt it holds any “sand” (pun intended). There has never been any analysis or lab tests to indicate there is sand in their store brands of salt.

WM is pretty strict with their co-packers of their store brands. There is a lot of dollars of brand equity involved. They may have an Arkansas zip code but they are not stupid marketers.

Weren't they accused of using tree bark or some such in their grated Parmesan cheese?
I want to say it was called some kind of fiber in the ingredients list (which I guess it sure is).

Cellulose in shredded cheese. A lot of manufacturers do so to prevent sticking.
