A few months back " GUN TALK " had the president of Silener Cental on who said the wait time speeded up after an ATF assistant dir went to the process office , saw piles of apps on the desks, and asked what was going on . He was told that as they process the app if they have a problem they stop to focus on it and let the others sit till it's fixed . He put in NEW policy that problems are to be set aside and the others worked on then go back to the problem apps . Because of this times has been cut .

Purchased a suppressor from Silencer Central at the Wanenmacher show Sunday Nov 10th. Paperwork (trust, electronic, repeat buyer) completed and submitted the afternoon of the 13th.
Morning of the 22nd the approval came through.

That's 8 calendar days, not including the day submitted - late afternoon - and the date notified of approval - first thing in the morning.

Subtract weekend, that's 6 working days.

Anyone doing them as a trust? Would like to add family members.
I'm on a trust, through Silencercentral. So far I'm the only one on the trust.

I called SC about adding names, it was suggested to me to add names after I have all the suppressors I want. That way, only one name gets checked through ATF.

I was told adding trust members after the fact was simply a matter of calling SC, they send a form to fill out and notarize, send it back.

You can do a single purchase trust. Each item has its own trust. Don’t plan on having more than 2 nfa items
