we have farm bureau, used them for the last 15 years. had to claim twice and they paid off both times with no rate increases. but like the others say. call around. alot of your personal info effects your personal rates..age,record location, size home, type home, type car etc

I don't know is such a company exist. I've had State Farm for 40 years for auto and 30 years on home owners. I got a letter from them about 2 years ago stating that they would not cover rock chips in windsheilds any more. My premium didn't drop any. I've checked prices with other companies and can't get a better price.

Same here. They pissed us off with rate hikes and our premiums now seem unreasonable vs. our claim history, age and vehicle coverage. Yet I went and checked USAA, Hartford, GEICO, and a bunch of other insurers. None of them quoted premiums that gave enough savings to switch. USAA was closest at about $110 lower per year for all 4 cars combined. :(

State Farm for 30 years on vehicles, 10 years on the house. Sorry to say many vehicle claims over the years due to hail damage ($3700 worth just recently in Kansas City), theft, and accidents. Tornado damage to the house. I still cannot beat their rates anywhere.

Look for the following on the Internet or call a local independent agent:

1. Travellers
2. Mercury
3. Progressive
4. Met Life (they now do auto/home)

I despise all insurance companies equally, and all of these are on that list, but at least it's a place to start.

Good luck.
