I've been with Country Companies for over 20 years. Low rates and good service. The first time I ever had to file a claim was this past year due to hail. They were very easy to work with.

On the other hand, I used to have Allstate before then. They were very difficult to deal with in a claim. They didn't want to pay for anything, and I had to fight the whole time after my house got broken into and damaged. Allstate treated me like I was the criminal.

My contractor this year told me the same thing. He said there was one insurance company in this area that they hate dealing with (he then held his hands in the "good hands" position without saying the name). He mentioned they don't like to pay, and the paperwork is atrocious. He also told me Country Co. was very easy to deal with as I experienced as well.

Show them no mercy, they will not be loyal or give you a decent premium price even after years and years faithfully paying for those policy's.
Dumped State Farm and a house policy 7 years ago (don't remember company now) saved just over $1,100 for the same ins. (went to AAA).
Just last winter changed from AAA auto to a different policy that saved me money.

Don't trust you local good old boy agent to find you the best deal, went out and found a different workmans comp. provider and saved $5,000 right off the bat.

You're right! You shouldn't depend on anyone else to do your insurance shopping for you.

You're wrong! They don't owe you loyalty because you paid your premium for any number of years. That was part of the deal. You were buying coverage, which they provided.

As far as workers comp goes, I would caution anyone to be especially careful where you place your coverage. It is the most volatile line of business and highly subject to companies which get in, grab their money and get out. Or, more than you'd think, go under. Go the the Insurance Dept and check out your company, to be safe.

As i have heard from several people with allstate your in good hands, but when you file a claim those hands open up awful fast. I have USAA now and it cut my insurance from $210 to $113 per month. (no tickets and no accident that is on my record-motorcycle)
