Interesting Opinion from a Gun Shop Guy Today

I stopped by a local gun shop today, and the guy behind the counter and were alking about upcoming gun shows.

He mentioned that if Obama's Executive Order calling for universal background checks came through, it would render all private firearms transactions illegal. In other words, every gun sold would have to go through a dealer.

Then, as an aside, he added, "Of course, that's how it should be."

I was stunned, and expressed my vehement disagreement.

I think I am not sure I want to do business there any more.

It would appear that he is selling out our rights in order to bolster his own financial picture. Where I come from, that's called being a selfish *******.

Howdy. We don't know each other, and I am new to the board.

I am not much of a one for pussyfooting around, but I am not sure if this guy was just an employee or if he is an owner. Before I potentially damage a business's reputation by name, I thought I should wait and find out.

I am not well versed in the unique "culture" here to know for sure if I have crossed some line.

I would also like to know. . .it may just be a wayward employee who needs a gentle "don't say that ever again" from the owner. Or it may be an owner who needs a "thank you for your opinion. . .I'll go somewhere else."

I totally agree, only people who look a certain way should be allowed to own guns. Don't you own a fun store?
