So we need to invite the BATFE into the gun shows and help them rid us of the abusers?

Not my words ,Sir
But if the existing laws arent enforced, They will make up new ones, That would Not be good.
And I'm not about to get into the "police our own" ,I saw how that went.
Shall not be infringed , is pretty clear to me.
Now what do We do, just let them break the law, cover our own butts, and fight a .gov thats going to do whatever They want, based on...Public opinion.

There is merit to both sides of the argument. Even as a dealer I would rather they not require background checks for private transactions.

I try, a little, not to get to over the top. That said, the idea of having to visit a government sanctioned business and be personally approved by the federal government to exchange goods for cash really irritates me. I have a few FFLs that I like. I have a few that I will never deal with again. The decision over who I do business with should be mine and mine alone.

Now I stop, before I go "over the top" on the subject.

Maybe they should just go back to pre-may 19th, 1986 law.
Prior to May 19th, 1986 it was illegal for ffl holders to sell and make delivery at a gunshow.
If a dealer even bothered to set up at a show, they had to take the gun back to their licensed premise
and the customer had to go there and pick it up.

Gunshows were only for private transactions only.
