Reliability would be my issue...otherwise its not a problem as I see it.
But it would be so much easier to upgrade to centerfire...380 ACP...better everything really in a similarly sized gun.

ammo also matters...this velocitor appears to mushroom to almost .30cal size at 300yrds into a semi-frozen roast...I'd say that would do the trick...one tip is that the CCI stinger is one of the best for a PISTOL for defensive 22rds because the velocity is good for close-up ballistics from a shorter barrel...that same round out of a rifle at close range and the thing explodes before it penetrates so again, ammo choice might make all the difference in 22 as a defensice round since it doesn't have the raw "stopping power" that some of the larger options have.
