Is the Ruger Mini-14 Obsolete?

Funny how there are no threads on if the M-14 or G3 is obsolete. Guess the only one that might be is the M-14 that went through the drier on high heat.

the only thing wrong with the mini is the mags are way too expensive . if the mags were under $20 I would have one again

No joke. A new Mini that takes AR mags would be fantastic.

Obsolete, that would depend on its intended original use, and that would be determined by the purchaser. When I had mine it was a fun gun with Ruger mags only and a full minute of pie plate in accuracy.

Although, the A Team seemed to love them a lot.

And never hit anybody

The FAL is obsolete.

I go back to a simple, when someone gives me an AR in 308 I will use it. Until then I am perfectly happy with my Mini 14.

Oh and I would rather have an M1a over an AR.
