In all reality, fear and distrust of Muslims is tactically wise. No different than keeping a close eye on any other person in your presence that has an appearance or vibe that gives you an uneasy feeling. There are a lot of people that would rather die being political correct than survive because the are being rightfully suspicious.

Here is a complete list of groups the United States Government is warning U.S. citizens about. These groups have carried out kidnappings, murders, ransom attempts, IED detonations, hijackings, high-seas pirating, suicide bombings, rapes, murder for hire, mass kidnappings and extortion. I'm a Baptist/Lutheran/Episcopal/Baptist, but my beliefs are personal and not particularly defined by the doctrine of any specific church I've attended or religion I've encountered, and that's been OK with most of them.

I believe this is an important distinction. To the militants it's not Islam vs. Christianity, it's Islam vs. anything and everything non-Islam.

Anything and everything not their brand of radical Islam. Even other Muslims are targets but most are to cowardly to speak out, and yes it is a war. I think it is the early stages of WW3 which will either see most of the world forced to Islam, or Islam pretty much wiped out. I know that sounds far fetched but reading what the radicals are trying to do will force it I think.

That doesn't prove that all Muslims have declared jihad on Christians. It just proves that any terror attacksagainst Christians anywhere are likely to be carried out by Muslims. Other than that, you have nothing to worry about.

Actually that's wrong. The Karan specifically states that they are obliged to carry out Jihad on non Muslim run countries, the majority being Chrisitan. There are different stages and types of jihad. Just because some Muslims are not participating physically, does not mean that they are not rooting for it. Thier book instructs them to

Can't argue with that. Hell, in recent years, the Catholic Church defended and protected a good number of priests that raped little boys.

And most of those crimes were homosexual - maybe that, rather than Catholicism, was the cause? Or maybe since all of the parties involved were members of one race or another, it was all racially motiviated?

The point to be made is that each of us can pick and choose particular viewpoints of specific situations, right or wrong, in attempting to support our own arguments - and when we do we're usually bordering on absurdity. The Catholic Church doesn't represent "all" Christians or Christian religions any more than the radical sects of Islam represent "all" Muslims or Islam religions, or so I've been told. Sadly, so few Muslims will actually discuss Islam it that I don't know for sure.
