Sonicwall devices are nice boxes... I have used several in the past, scalable, easy to configure, etc...
Dual routers, keeping your internal apart from your wireless offering is highly recommended (looks like you're already going that direction)
An option for your splash screen is to configure pfsense to do 'captive portal'
there are tutorials available off of the pfsense website. Route your ap(s) through the pfsense router with captive portal running and achieve the required first screen (login, links, capture credit card for hourly/daily rate etc)
