One time when I was about 17, one of our rooster had flew the coupe. I could hear him way off on the back side of our property. Unfortunately, by the time I got to him the hawiian punch I had imbibed early had hit me. Unaware of my surroundings, took a leak right on the electrofied wire. Jumped back, and kicked the rooster. From then on, it really didnt do much, just sort of wiggled when I touched it. Took it to a local man that deals with them sort of things and he told me there werent nothing much he could do for a fried cock.

Just had a night skulker at the front door!

I have a driveway alarm sensor mounted in our front door's entry way... about 4 1/2 feet up off the ground.. and about 5 ft out from the storm door... so if anyone gets within 5-7 ft of the door it sounds a loud alarm inside my bedroom and flashes a red light several times. It is loud enough to be heard outside the house too. And because it is mounted high and inside a narrow walkway, small animals like cats & skunks will not set it off.. only people.

I was in bed sound asleep, and by the time I realized the alarm was sounding... grabbed my gun... and got to the door.. he / they were gone. I went outside and looked all around the house.. nothing seemed to be disturbed. I called the police and got our neighborhood put on the list for extra patrol. It is a real adrenaline rush to get awaken to a prowler alarm going off @ 2AM. Sure glad I had the warning before entry might have been made.

We have a couple of motion detector alarms around our house in the country.
Typically its animals that set them off, like deer etc.
One night it was a vehicle that came up at 2:30am.
Woke us up, and I saw a pickup driving up the road toward the house.
As we are on the end of a private road, I thought they might turn around and drive away, but after a couple of minutes of no activity, took a pistol, and went out the back door. We have motion lights that turn on at all corners of the house, and the only one that was on was the driveway light.
Heard them talking, and stepped out of the dark. Asked them what they were doing, and they said they were just driving around drinking some beer and decided to get off the road.
Talked to them for a bit, and asked them to leave nicely, and they agreed, and left. Never came back.
They never were agressive at all, so it all ended well.
