The last knife I had Bass Pro "sharpen" was nearly ruined when the guy took it to a paper-wheel on a grinder and nicked the scales (on both sides) as well as jacked up the bevel. I don't know if they do more than just that, but I'd make sure the person doing it knows what he's doing.

I took one to Bass pro near branson.... they completely screwed it up. You could saw for years on a tomato and still not make progress it was so jacked.

I will never let them touch a knife of mine!!

Lol just go buy a smiths 2 step sharpener from bass pro or walmart. It really works great. I use this all the time on all my knives. Ive sharpened an old camillus Vietnam era knife. My spyderco. Ka-Bar TDI. Everything. Works great.

Not to be argumentative or anything man, but you should never use a pull-through sharpener on a knife you give a crap about (especially a pull-through with "carbide" inserts). You're basically destroying the edge every time you use it. Some times you can get away with a pull-through ceramic, but I still wouldn't do it when you can get a ceramic stone and do it the right way for just a few bucks more.
