The last knife I had Bass Pro "sharpen" was nearly ruined when the guy took it to a paper-wheel on a grinder and nicked the scales (on both sides) as well as jacked up the bevel. I don't know if they do more than just that, but I'd make sure the person doing it knows what he's doing.

I sharpen on paper wheels. It takes practice and an eye for detail just like anything else that's done right. Some people just don't have that and they can't understand why grind marks on the scales are a problem! Yes, don't let anyone touch your stuff with power tools unless you reallly trust them.

To the OP, I think you should learn to sharpen. Edge Pro, sandpaper and mouse pad, paper wheels, strops with compounds etc. Many ways to get a good edge. You just have to practice and pay attention and you'll get it.

if you're in the edmond/guthrie area i'll sharpen it for you. i use polishing compound and a buffing wheel for my final step, the edge literally shines like a mirror & if you run it up your arm your arm hairs will fly into the air. works best on a thin blade & a steep angle.
