I thought I read somewhere where this law was changed to where if you have a permit to carry you can carry on WMA’s but I’m having problems finding it. I’m going to a place tomorrow that allows only rimfire and archery equipment but feel naked without my ccw

In the 2018-2019 regs on page 12 I found:

Oklahoma Self-Defense Act
Under the provisions of this act, a person may
carry a firearm on any private or public state lands.
This includes, but is not limited to, while hunting,
fishing, scouting and tracking. Federal lands
such as Corps of Engineers or National Wildlife
Refuges are subject to additional regulations that
may prevent the provisions of this act.

Trying to figure out the COE regs is not always so easy, at least to this bonehead.
The Heyburn Lake WMA, IIRC, is really COE land but managed by the state wildlife dept.

Care to share the reasons? How long ago?
Corps of Engineer specifically say you can't carry although we can now carry in National Parks.

It was 3 years ago. It seems like they used the federal owned property reasoning. They gave the analogy of carrying in a post office. They also said we had a rifle with us, so why would we need a CC.
