My primary will be my old faithful .243, but this time loaded with a Speer 85 grain BTSP. I've shot truck loads of deer with that rifle, but none with that bullet. Then, my 'new' 7x57 in a Ruger M77. I killed my first deer with an old Spanish '93 Mauser in 7x57, which I've still got and which will only shoot 175 grainers worth a darn, and which I keep loaded WAY light. I wanted to play with a 7x57 that I could load up to modern standards.

Either my 1886 african spear or the .780 caliber slingshot from the civil war... just not sure yet.

I do have a new glossy Browning BLR in 7mm-08 I need to take out of the box.... Oh the choices.

Since I may be stretching my shots out to 150 yds, I'm going with the 338 Lapua. I should be good because I had the guy at Walmart bore sight my new 3x9 Tasco, so I know it will be good to go. No need to go to the range ahead of time.

Or...
I will be hunting with my daughters, 9 & 12, and will be carrying either my Rem 700 16" 308 tactical rifle, or my Rem R-25 308.
12 year old will be using her 300 Blackout topped with a Nikon P-300.
9 year old will likely be using her Rem Model 7 youth in 243, topped with a compact Leupold 3X9.
