Should be real quick, my last stamp was sent off 10/16, check cashed 10/22 and approved 11/30.

Whoa! That's what I like to hear... :woohoo1: Maybe I should go for the can at the same time, then.

Thinking about pulling my CASV off of my 14.5" and doing the shorty like this:

Or I'll go with a Troy TRX:

Either way I'm leaning 7.5".

My vote is for the Vltor.

That would be the cheapest route...through the M4 guards and a .22 conversion in the 14.5" upper, take the LMT bolt group & CASV out for the 7.5" upper.

I think that the TRX handguard is big enough for the can, but the CASV definitely is.

I have too many AR-15s...

ETA...who makes a good 7.5" bbl other than Noveske??

Rock River makes a good one for their pistols and I'm sure they could get you just the barrel if you asked. Out of curiosity why 7.5" and not 10.5" or 12".

Why even SBR one at all?

'Cause I like it. :D And my range only goes out to 200m.
Exactly. If you're gonna go short, might as well go as short as you can go.

I used a Model 1 Sales barrel for my 7.5" gun and am very pleased with it. With that type of rifle, I couldn't see any reason to get a high end barrel. Not like I plan on shooting 500 yards with it.

Nice, dude...I was thinking about M1S. My first kit gun was a Model 1 kit and it shot just fine. I just can't see ponying up $400 for a Noveske.

Right now I'm down to Model 1 and DEZ Arms. They have a fluted 7.5" w/ delta assembly (needed for the CASV) for $230.

I had a 20" fluted barrel from them and it was a real shooter. Not chrome lined, though...and I love shooting the cheap ammo just as much as I hate cleaning AR-15s.
