So, no s__t there I was, in a machete fighting tournament in Guatemala. And who do I see, machete in hand? Jean Claude Van-Damme.
Ok, that's enough, from there it gets crazy.
I guess I should stop telling stories and post some pics of my Savage 10FCP. Soon.

That was me - I used to hang out with the guy that hosts Future Weapons (Richard Machowicz) back when we were Navy Seals together. Every now and then we'd have to do a joint-operations mission with the French Foreign legion and we'd go hook up with Baer Grillis and Baer would do some really stupid $#!+ for no reason that always ended up making him look like a tool - he said one day he'd be famous for it, but his camera crew and staff kept giving away our position.

Machowicz was a really good cook - as a matter of fact, that's all I ever saw him do - when we were out on a mission, he didn't even bring a gun. He had a rolling pin and an apron (it was tactical black though).

He once made a souffle that was so scalding hot that it damaged his vocal chords and he now has to permanently whisper - its ok though, it kept him from giving away our position as he was constantly getting the basics of doing the simplest thing wrong and yet he was always excited enough when he learned something new that he wanted to yell it out.

My jaw dropped when I was watching the Futureweapons episode with the Barrett M82, and Machowicz said "This is the .308 caliber round, its the standard round for the AK-47." I wanted to punch him in the head. I'm pretty sure he was never a navy seal... and I wouldn't be shocked if he was a chef really.

While technically he was correct (the AK-47 round is 7.62x39 and 7.62mm is .308) I pretty much thought the same thing.

There is a show on the Mil channel on sniper rifles that says the Marines M-40 is chambered in 6.5x47 Lapua :oops3:

Actually he's not - the 7.62x39 isn't the same diameter as 7.62 Nato (doesn't the 7.62x39 round end up at about 3.11? Its been a while since I've heard this debate - memory's a little fuzzy on the subject) and this is the context of what he said:

(when talking about Barret's .50BMG M107)
Future Weapons ****** Bag said:
The Barret fires one of the biggest bullets in the world.

*Then after that - for size comparison he starts in with the diarrhea of the mouth describing some of the various "military calibers"*

Future Weapons Former Cook for the Navy Seals / ********* said:
This is the 2-2-3 round - it is the standard round for most US Military rifles. This is the 308. It is the standard round for the AK-47.

Former Navy Seal huh? Like I said, guess he was a cook for the Seals
