My favorite knife for skinning anything bigger than a Rabbit. I can grip the blade like gripping a hammer and get the hide off so easy. I use my knuckles to drag and set the edge to not cut the hide as it comes down. I have seen an Eskimo use one of their “watchamacallit” knifes to skin with and theirs doesn’t have a extended hands but one that goes against the palm.

Someone on here several years ago showed me the Nessmuk forgot who. But thanks whomever you are.

@okiebertt I’ve got an original SOG Tomcat as well, in fact I’m pretty sure it’s a pre-release if that’s the correct term. My father bought it at an electrical trade show where a knife vendor showing upcoming models asked if he’d like to buy any. He apparently “didn’t want to pack them all back up.” I called SOG a few years back and no one was left there that could answer my question. My “pre-release” reasoning is the markings under the logo are missing and the little flap on the sheath is missing “SOG”. Anyhoo, not that any of this matters, just me talking likely too much. 😉

My very first knife. Christmas present when I was 5. I thought I was cool opening beers for my Papo.
It was always a great knife, the toothpick reborn as the multi-tool, and a valuable and much used one when nearly every drink came in bottles, with cans an option, except for water which, believe or not, came from a faucet or well back then.

It’s amazing how many knives and watches some of you have.
Pfft...what would maybe be impressive would be if someone actually pulled out every knife they owned and photographed them. But that is more trouble than most are going to go through just to post photos here. I sure ain't even gonna try.

Crazy sharp, I use these almost every time I cook something.

These have been in my family since new, the smaller Pepsi steak knives are my favorite. Not sure if these are cool but they are sharp!

The one on the left is out of place, can’t remember why I put it in there but I’m sure there was a reason.
