Is PSA using the Chinese to produce their knives? I was thinking a US company but that might be their fixed blades.

Their knives are made by different manufacturers. Their fixed blades say they’re made in the USA, but they have one folder that’s made by WE/Civivi (in West Taiwan), one folder that’s of mysterious origins (presumably also West Taiwan), and their bayonet is made in Italy (reportedly by Fox).

My Operator from Winkler Knives with maple handle (upper) and Magnacut Speedgoat from the Montana Knife Company (lower). The lanyard on the Winkler is the paracord that was tied in a bow around the Speedgoat when it arrived from Montana; it makes the knife a lot easier to get out of the sheath, and it fits nicely around my wrist while I’m using it.

The Speedgoat is on my belt (lately in a horizontal MKC leather sheath that’s not shown) whenever I’m in my go to the office clothes, and either the Winkler or an MKC Magnacut SuperCub is in the tool pocket of my overalls if I’m going somewhere else. Lately it has been the SuperCub in the tool pocket because I caught the Winkler’s sheath’s clip on something and managed to distort it enough that it’s not holding securely. I may just replace it with an Ulti-Clip (like the one seen on the MKC Kydex sheath in the picture).

Very nice. I want a Winkler in a bad way. Thanks to Last of the Mohicans I’ve wanted a piece of his work.

Very nice. I want a Winkler in a bad way. Thanks to Last of the Mohicans I’ve wanted a piece of his work.

I’d wanted something from Winkler since I read The Terminal List, but the long waits dissuaded me until I learned that BladeHQ stocked the Operator, which was actually the fixed blade I wanted. I want one of his tomahawks, too, but those are kind of spendy, so I’m still thinking about that one…

Looks grippy, and D2 isn’t a bad steak at all. I prefer it to some stainless steels way more.

I think it may be a little tough, I prefer a ribeye.

Here are few from my straight razor collection. The oldest was made circa 1770-1790 (bottom-right). Every now and then when I’m feeling especially manly I’ll take one out and have a shave. Lemme tell ya you’d better not be in a hurry.

Knife by @Johnny, sheath by @Cowcatcher. The grips are from my K98 stock. I sadly had to replace it, as the parts around the action were in bad shape. Johnny used some of the good wood and made this beast. It’s cleaned a bunch of deer and pigs in the last few years.

I had an uncle on the wife's side who used to shave with a mug, brush and straight razor. It was truly a treat to watch his steady hand.

I started with mug, brush and straight razor, moved to a Trac II in 1975, still using same mug, have been through 4 brushes since then. A straight razor will teach you quick to have a steady hand or jitters for life.
