I love automatic watches whether Swiss or Japanese, but for the money it's hard to beat Seiko's auto dive watches. You might look at the Seiko SXK007/009s they a more classic in style, but the mods are endless for them.

I honestly love the SXK009 more than the Submariner that inspired it. (I can respectfully say the Rolex inspired it, and pretty much all Submariner homages, right?)

I have a Citizen Crono-Time AT that I bought about 3 years ago. Wear it everyday. Eco-Drive with perpetual calender and also is radio controlled so I don't have to reset the time ever. I think they can be had for somewhere between $450 to $500.

This Cartier watch only goes for a smooth $124,000. If anyone would like to buy me this for Christmas, I'll be your best friend for life :D

Do you have on-demand pics of your True Religion jeans to match your cars, NFA weapons, and watches? Seriously??

To answer your question Jason, I like that a super-efficient company made a affordable, reliable precision automatic available to the Masses. Seiko automatics are like the Glocks of the watch world. If you are simply worried about owning ostentatious, flashy items to post on the internet and feel superior to others, then the Seiko would not be for you.

This was a thread about options on low- to mid-priced watches. Not a thread to champion the perceived superiority of your Rolex.
