This is a long, more technical discussion about the Liberty Safes incident, and why Liberty deleting records of their unlock code on demand might not be the end of the story (even if you assume that they can be trusted to actually do it).

Conservative snowflakes should be warned that Dev apparently doesn't think much of the J6 participants, and he swears a bit.

As Dev points out in his video, the GSA gun safes don't use electronic locks. There's probably a lesson in that.

The lock that Liberty gave up the combo code was a mechanical lock.

I’ve seen a Bear safe that had a padlock system that looked pretty good.

My old safe has a dial lock. I looked in to changing the combination once the manufacturer said I need a key to do it and gave me some contact info to get one and a message, “good luck”.

I have 2 safes, I bought at Harbor Freight. Both are electronic lock. Both, I set the combination, after setting up.

I can see a manufacturer having record of combination for a dial lock. Electronics should be easy to change.
