Lions Club Turkey Shoots - questions

Over the last few years I've driven by the Turkey shoots set up by the Lions Club in Nicoma Park and Harrah. I have to admit I don't really know what a turkey shoot is. I've heard about them in passing and read a little about them on the internet.


So what is a turkey shoot? How do you go about getting into one?
