Local fires

Smoke and soot falling all afternoon here in Tulsa.

I understand a couple of neighborhoods have been lost around Muskogee, Okmulgee, and maybe Sapulpa?

Luckily we had no fires today. With the 350 to 400 ft per min fire spread and head of fires 20 to 30 ft they are tough to fight.

Nothing here today fortunately! A 30' horizontal head flame is a sight though.....and noisy

Fires today between Owasso and Collinsville. Also some fires up by Nowata.

Heard some of the fires in Osage County had flares thrown out. Arson. Can't believe people would do that.

Soot and ashes falling at my shop near 41st & Sheridan. ...rode the wind a long ways.

Considering the number of fires in one day, I figured it could all be accidental.

Then after all that, watched a guy in front of me at a light today throw out a smoldering cig butt. I was tempted to walk up and throw it back in his car.

The field fire we had last month filled our house with smoke all night. It was the one off Indian Hills Rd. Large bales smoldered thru the night. We turned off the air/heating system in our house.
