Dress clothes a Kershaw Leek.
Jeans or Khakis, a SOG B66 Power Assist Multi-tool. It has two separate scapels posing as blades that are avaliable without opening the tool in the blink of the eye. Best Multi-tool I've ever owned, in fact my Leatherman MT's have been placed on glovebox duty in my autos because of it.

I love my S&W Extreme ops from Autozone, under 15 bucks. I liked it so much, I bought two more. Maybe not fancy enough but they are nice for the money.

If you want to get a knife that will hold its edge, check out Benchmade and Kershaw's knives that are made of better grade steels than AUS8 and some of the softer stainless steels (both make D2 tool steel folders).

Here's knifecenter.com's list of D2 and other Carbon steel folders (there are a few in there that are around $100):

I personally like the RAT folder made by either ESEE or Ontario but they are both made of Aus8 (as are lots of the Boker knives that I personally like the stylings of, but don't care to have to put an edge back on it every few days if using heavily).

If you've got the extra cash, this one is bad-ass (It'll be out very soon):

They make a right and left-handed version of it too - in case you're a south-paw.

I carry a couple of Kershaws - a Blur and Storm. They are decent blades with good steel and reasonably priced. My next one will be a Benchmade, but I have some new guns, sights, lights, lasers and leather to buy first.:rubhands:

You've got a lot of good suggestions. How big of a knife do you want?
Slip joint, liner lock, frame lock, lock back, other?
What is the primary use of the knife?
How deep are your pockets? (price range)

I have a drawer full of knives. My dress knife is a case tiny toothpick.

Otherwise, I carry USA made Bucks or a folding box cutter.
