Looking to build a retro m16 build kit

Looking for a Retro kit, wall hanger. Doesn’t have to be a colt, seeing how it’s going to be a wall hanger. But I do want it to go bang. So the cheaper the better.

Specific one that I looking for is a
M16, xm177 car15 A1 commando with the longer flash hider

My walnut AR has an upper that looks the same...it's a RRA carry handle upper with a short barrel that has a long p&w FH. May be another option for you to check out.

On indefinite back-order...just like every other a1/a2 integral carry handle upper on the planet. I've had a dream build on hold for YEARS now because of this. Best bet is likely waiting for Palmetto state armory to get production up and running. It's been in the works for quite awhile now...

Yea I’m not having much luck lol. I’ve found plenty of the sp1 but I already have one. Looking or hunting for parts is half the fun I guess

Seems the A1 uppers have just about dried up and if you do find one if it's a Colt or a Anchor Harvey split A upper They are $300.. and up I was lucky enough to find a DPMS A1 AR-15 rifle at a descent price that had the factory DPMS Anchor Harvey splat A upper still on it. The lower is a DPMS made in St. Cloud, MN./ No longer Manufactured. You can still find some of the lowers made in Huntsville AL. By Remington.
