This is NOT a destruction test. Just seeing how many rounds can be shot(absolutely no cleaning of weapon) before a stoppage. 1. 2.
When I set up my RR Colt M16 (11.5" 6933 upper), I shot over 800 failure free rounds SUPPRESSED without cleaning OR lubrication. This was to satisfy myself on the reliability of my setup.
That's just it, I didn't even lube mine. When I cracked it open after 800+ rounds suppressed, the deposits were everywhere and THICK. FWIW, My setup includes a BCK Ion-Bond BCG.
At +/- .30 cpr it'd be quite some time before I cleaned @ 4105 rounds.. I wouldn't mine seeing this for a 15-22 but then I can't let'em sit dirty for too long..
When in the Army we found about 1000 rounds at full auto (didn’t have select fire) was when malfunctioning started. That was part of he training to get it that dirty so you would learn and know how to cure and clear.
BCM Testing Continues! 5010 rounds fired plus accuracy test! Military Arms Channel Published on Aug 12, 2019
WOW! 5000+ rounds no oil, no cleaning, and one DNE and one DNL, neither of which could actually be confirmed as the weapon! I would say it is pretty clear that with proper maintenance this thing would shoot for ever. I can't go out to the range for a day and not clean my weapons within the next few days or I start feeling like I just dissed my wife or something!
