Makes me sick

Looks the same at the message I got when I tried to sell my race car here in Cheyenne. He told he was a Marine stationed in Cheyenne WY. Guess it was a automated response cause there is only a AF base and a Air Guard base in cheyenne and the only other service stationed here is a Navy reserve unit. Really makes me sad.....

I'd email back & play with them, screw with their minds a little.
I did this once. I actually got a $40,000.00 check on a machine shop in Michigan once for something I was selling. I called the bank it was on & let them know, I also called the machine shop. They were flabbergasted to say the least. I told them I'd take it to the police. I took the check to the Del City PD (for what that was worth). I have absolutely NO confidence in the Del City PD, NONE. No confidence is based on some other issues (embezzlement, they did NOTHING about).
Anyway, I'm sure nothing ever came of it, but it was sort of fun.

I've had a very similar message for a manure pump. Except it said that he was in the navy. Guess he was tired of getting latrine duty.



Don't these scams work by them wiring money to you at first to make it look legit, then wipe it out just as quickly? If so, couldn't you have a separate account with nearly nothing in it and close the account as soon as they wired anything in so they couldn't get it back? IDK if that's how it works or not, I just ignore any of the area codes that are not local.

I have sold one car and still working on another, I get 10 spam emails and text messages for every 1 legitimate person interested in them. It is a royal PITA.

When I try to sell anything on Craigslist I always put at the bottom of my ad,

"Meeting will be at my home in Edmond because there is a police officer living across the street and it is safer for all.

All scams attempts will be reported. "
