FTA:

It looks like the group that successfully took down the website of Julian Assange's Swiss Bank have claimed another victim.

Mastercard.com is down, and @Anon_operation just tweeted that it's due to a DDOS attack. Of course, Mastercard is one of the payment services that cut off the ability to donate to Wikileaks. Update: We're not exactly sure what this means, but this is a Reuters flash: Mastercard says working to suspend acceptance of mastercards on WikiLeaks until situation resolved.

Both attacks were part of Operation Payback, a coordinated attack on anti-piracy groups and others that started three months ago.

This is just a DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service), so my guess is it's Anonymous getting a bunch of kids to overload the server like they did with Scientology. There are botnets large enough to do this but their owners aren't the kind of people who would do this.

I just think it's entertaining that a company like Mastercard is being dragged into this.

E: Also, whatever you do, don't call these people "hackers" or call Anonymous a "hacking group."

If they are, YOU can be a hacker too if you point your browser at mastercard.com and press F5 over and over.

They took down the bank that froze his account, a couple of days ago.

I wanted to follow their tweets but I haven't subscribed to them. No telling what's going to happen that list of followers. I just keep looking them up and reading their tweets. Interesting stuff to watch unfold.

Refreshes a website. It's the same as going to View -> Reload/Refresh, hitting CTRL + R, or clicking on that swirly twirly button on your browser... only faster.

Or in my case
