Medical Marijuana, hmmmm. Sure why not. My biggest concern would be the current dealers, what will they do when their customers start going to the corner store for their marijuana. Im sure none of the current dealers will go get a job at McDonalds to supplement their marijuana income, or apply for the proper permits to grow and sell their own grow. Will they begin dealing other drugs? Like cocaine, crack, or meth. If your neighborhood had 20 marijuana dealers before legalization, your neighborhood will have 20 meth dealers after legalization. Crackheads are more likely to commit theft for there next fix than pot heads. So now picture the crackheads hanging around the neighborhood trying to score.
There is already been talk about decriminalizing it on a state level. They just seem unsure as how to go about it. I work for the DOD, so not like I would get to touch it, but it is my choice to work where I do.
I am completely for decriminalizing it. I have no right to tell people they can't do something because, "It's bad for you". The government shouldn't have that power either. I'm all for freedom as long as it doesn't hurt others. I will not deny that this could cause some issues, but any intoxicating substance has that risk.
Then again, if keeping it illegal could save just one life... Funny how some people only care about the freedoms they agree with.
