I can fit more in the Corolla.
The seats in the old 57 are OLD and would crack under the pressure ..The only heavy things I like to put in those seats are fat chicks and a little firewood or tools.
I tried to load the rocks more in the center of the car.

Haaaaaaaaaaaa! Kept the main weight down the center beam!

I once in my best judgement out 304 65lb retaining wall blocks on a single axle trailer behind my yukon Denali, it would pull it, but in my best thinking, there was no unhooking there trailer without unloading and it played hell with the air ride from then on. Trailer probably had a 1200lb capacity

304 65lb retaining wall blocks

WOW and double WOW! That is a heavy load.
I hauled 75 car batteries in the back of my 1982 Mustang hatch back.
One layer then plywood and another layer on top.
I had Air shocks and they were filled to 120 PSI each.
I set them up on their own air lines.

I pulled loads I could not stop going down hill but it was too late as I was 1/2 way home.
But never 19,760 lbs on a single axle trailer.
WOW
