Luke has some really good points, Ronny also has a good point too if it's what you you want and it's your money get it. If you want a cheaper project that may just need a stock refinish you can get s t53 from $150-200
Really like it without the bayonet. That and I like that it's history is a mystery wrapped in an enigma surrounded by doubt. Lol. Will go in tomorrow and see if I can get it down any more. It's been on the shelf for many months and the manager seems ready to dump it.
I feel you on the bayonet part it's not for some people. I guess I'm not using the right ammo so I haven't been able to get mine to be a flame thrower, this is the best I can get.
Went back today and got it down to $150. Maybe still a little high for the condition but not anything near the original price. I went for it because it has a bright strong bore, a good clean crown, and I didn't see any major damage beyond what Bubba did. Now I just need to tear it down and give it a good cleaning.
Enjoy it. I like the carbines. 2nd hand rose pawn in Tulsa had a bubba'd 91/59 once, but it was north of $200. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
