It is a joke that she is only charged with manslaughter. It seems like too many times if it is a child that is murdered, they get charged with a lesser crime than if they killed an adult. We should lobby our representatives to make murder of a child carry mandatory death penalty.

If they are being arrested, then what they are doing is against the law.

The vast majority of people abusing pain pills break multiple laws daily. There is nothing "legal" about abusing prescription drugs. They are illegal drug users. They can be punished for what they are doing just as easily as a cocaine or meth user, as you pointed out.

They should have the same "fear of punishment".

Yea I think they need to charge her with first degree murder and put third degree burns all over her body
then put her in a comercial washer full of alcahol until dead just my 2 cents

You may want to check you facts on this. Both are sold as prescription drugs for a multitude of things; including ADHD, obesity, depression, narcolepsy, and as an anesthetic.

From what I understand the neglect charge was added to, not lowered from the manslaughter charge. Though odcr.com shows only the neglect charge ??

Thanks though for clarifying. the various news reports I heard used the word "added a charge of..." which is very misleading.
