As for the dust, it’s always been in a house unless we went shooting. Never owned a truck, let alone a truck rack lol. It’s just been that long since I been shooting. Shooting is a rich man’s game these days lol. Here is where it’s been for years. I had the EO-tech setup on it back then.
Yes, the gun has kept its originality as far as upper and lower.
I think it would sell without the scope for that. Put a rear flip up on it. Or leave the scope on...I don't think the scope and rings add much to the rifle.

Looking at the gas block, was it converted to a piston rod?

Looking at the end of the gas block it looks like a piston conversion to me & the front sight is attached to it/top rail
